“Lucy was the Celebrant we chose to conduct the service of celebration of my husband’s life at his funeral in November 2024. She showed great empathy and understanding for me and my family at this difficult time. She was very perceptive, involved my close family and listened carefully to ensure that our emotions and memories were treated with great delicacy.
She made useful suggestions, met with us several times and liaised with Church officials to ensure smooth delivery of a personal service. At my request, she also spoke my eulogy in a way that reflected the humour and spirit that my husband was known for. She gave time for eulogies from my daughter and grandchildren and added her own personal thoughts. She invited people to share their own special memories or stories.
Lucy’s professionalism and conduct was much appreciated by family and friends. She gave us all an opportunity to grieve and reflect, whilst leaving us feeling uplifted by the happy memories we all shared.
