Naming ceremonies are a wonderful way to create a new welcome in front of loved ones.

Maybe your family has a new baby, or want the opportunity to celebrate a name change or even to join two families together. This can happen anywhere and way that you wish.

I can help you craft a ceremony that is a unique reflection of the person or people involved. It will be written just for your family. You might like a symbolic element involving family members, poems, music, promises and stories. Any combination is welcome and will be filled with love, creativity and care.

Why would you choose me for your naming ceremony?

At the heart of my world is my family and I can appreciate the importance of gathering together those whom you love the most to celebrate a new chapter.

This may be a new baby being named, a new family name being given, a new identity for someone. Any ceremony that wants to recognise a change with joy and positivity for the future.

As a proud and constantly delighted (as well as challenged!) mum of three, and a previous teacher of over twenty years, I am confident that I have the skills to build trust with your family and communicate really well.

What I promise you is that my main interest is exploring your story, investing in you to make your story shine, guiding and encouraging you to make your ceremony the most joyous occasion. I’m a skilled writer – my scripts have flair, emotion, compassion, honesty and fun throughout. We’ll develop a relationship of confidence and care. As your celebrant, I will make sure that you are comfortable at each stage of the planning process. The end result will be the day you’ve had a vision of. It won’t be the same for anyone else.

In addition, my families are offered a bespoke piece of local driftwood as a piece of wall art from their day. It is collected, sanded and decorated by me in any style you wish.

  • A free, initial no-obligation meeting to see if you feel I’m the right celebrant for you

  • A private WhatsApp group between just us so that we can ping ideas, questions to and fro

  • Unlimited contact (phone, message, email, meetings, zoom) throughout our journey together

  • Personalised couple’s questionnaire about your story together – completed in as much detail as you like and this forms the basis of my script writing

  • A completely bespoke ceremony written from start to finish

  • Inclusion of any symbolic element (eg. Family sand ceremony) that you wish

  • Guidance and support on readings, poems, writing of vows – templates and examples readily available

  • Meetings beforehand to discuss script and “roleplay” elements of your ceremony to give you ownership and sense of comfort

  • Delivery of ceremony itself, including checking in with you beforehand and providing a calming influence!

  • Email copy of your script

PRICING £275 for bookings made in 2025 and 2026, rising to £300 in 2027

Extra costs, but kept to a minimum would be for: cost of purchase relating to symbolic elements eg. Handfasting cords; driftwood art; printed and presented copy of script; large amounts of travel.

BOOKING – I would ask for a non-refundable deposit payment of 50% to secure your date. That date will be exclusive to you.
